Paris

Bienvenue!
I am an American student studying abroad for the second semester of my sophomore year, and have been looking for an excuse to make a blog. This is a little bit my travels, a little bit my style, and probably a lot of pictures of the foods I have been eating too much of. If you have the patience, please bear with me on this adventure, both the adventure that is Paris and the adventure that is using blogger.

I have officially been in Paris for... almost a week. And I have learned quite a lot of things, both about myself and about the city itself. But since this is the first post, I'll start it off light, with a list of what Paris is, and what it is not...

Paris is:
truly the city of lights
much bigger than advertised
a black whole for money
an odd mélange of little villages and big cities, with a somewhat unsettling number of monuments
way too cold right now.

Paris is NOT:
New York
warm and fuzzy
easy to navigate
somewhere to go for the lactose challenged
quite as perfect as pictures
covered in trash

A mishmash of stereotypes and responses to advice.
Until then, amusez-vous:
Where I've been living
What I have been eating too much of
My new stomping ground
What I have been wearing (conforming?)
